Amy and her friends, Katie and Luisa, are avid Otherworld fans. Otherworld is a book series that revolves around Alexander Banks and Vigo Skaar. When Alexander was 6, his family was killed by the vampire, Vigo Skaar. Ever since, Alexander has been training and became a vampire stalker, vampire hunter, in Chicago.

Amy, Katie, and Luisa went to Book Nook and got the second book of the series, The Mists of the Otherworld. Amy quickly devours the book and doesnt want to wait a year to find out what happens to Alexander, his cousin, James, and James vampire girlfriend, Hannah, who is also Vigos younger sister. Well, Amy wont have to wait that longsort of.

She went with her friends to the school dance. On her way home, she is attacked but a man quickly gets the attacker away from her. All Amy sees of the attacker is bright, silver hair. As she starts to thank her rescuer, she notices that hes dressed up like Alexander. He convinces her that he is indeed the same Alexander Banks from the book series by showing her scars that the character from the book would have.

Amy cant believe it. Unfortunately for her, Vigo crossed as well.and was her attacker. She lets Alexander stay in her familys apartment for a few days. She also teaches Alexander about some modern technology that will be to his advantage. As the attacks increase in the city, the more both of them worry and increases Alexanders determination to find Vigo and kill him once and for all.

According to Ms. Parker, Amys high school librarian, there is a portal that allowed Alexander and Vigo to come into their Chicago. As Amy gets to know the real Alexander, she finds herself falling in love with him as a mannot a character. As Alexander search for Vigo gets closer, she starts to worry what will happen? Will Amy lose the first guy shes even cared about? Will Alexander kill Vigo before more people are killedor worse turned into a vampire?

At first, I thought I would like the book, but as I read more into the book, I started to love the book. I loved Alexanders dialogue. It was definitely spot on for the dimension he came from. I loved the premise of this book. There are several characters from books I know I wish were real. I also loved learning about the book series. I would love it if the author wrote the Otherworld series or another book to tell what happened in the aftermath of this book. I loved the ending. I dont think therell be a sequel, but hey you never know. I wont be complaining if there is or not. I was that pleased with the ending.
