Does anyone have any recipe/cookbook suggestions for vegan eating? I'm looking for some good resources. Or, if you live in the Chicago area, I'd also love restaurant suggestions.

Thanks!!

I love Vegan With a Vengeance by Isa Chandra Moskowitz.    She also has a vegan brunch book that looks interesting.

I'm a vegan and I love How it all Vegan and the Garden of Vegan, and also like Vegan With a Vengeance. Eating vegan is not hard at all. Online recipes are easy to find. If you want I'll put some recipes on here later.

Also, HappyCow.com provides a way to find vegan restaurants everywhere.

I echo the suggestion of Vegan with a Vengeance.  Also Mark Bittman's How to Cook Everything Vegetarian is a great one for, well, learning how to cook everything.  It's not strictly vegan, but in recipes where it's possible he gives suggestions for how to make the recipe vegan.

I just recently subscribed to Vegetarian Times magazine and have made several things out of them that turned out really good!  They also have an awesome website with lots of recipes.  www.vegetariantimes.com I think is it.  I made a vegan shepherds pie with sweet potatoes and a vegetable samosa pie and they were great!  Also made a vegan eggnog pudding dessert that was soooooooooo good and some wild mushroom ravioli that were ok but not worth the time.

I have been eating vegan for awhile and enjoy 34bn cookbooks. On the seventh day adventist site is wonderful cooks in the vegan way. They have been cooking for over 100 years vegan. Their books are excellent! They give free recipes on their tv site. Three angels broacasting network.

I have learned to make fake cheese, fake meat, and you cant tell they are fake.
