This book one in a triology, that only Fern Michaels can write with such humor, sadness, and tragedy brings the characters alive to the reader. You cry,smile,laugh along with them as you cuddle up with the book and ultimately forget all your troubles. How could one family have so many problems? And you thought your life was hard. Fanny Thornton has to be the ultimate wife, mother symbol. She endures more in her lifetime than any other woman I have ever read about. Her character comes alive as you read the book. This book is 1 of the vegas triology. This is a favorite triology i have read yet. You must read the Texas, Vegas, and Kentucky books by Fern Micheals.
