Book #2 in the Torie O'Shea Mystery series. In this story, Torie is suspicious that Marie Dijon's death wasn't so accidental.

MacPherson does an excellent job of blending New Kassel's wacky residents with Torie O'Shea's research into Marie Dijon's death. I like the use of genealogy research to help solve the mystery and being to work along with Torie as she finds documents and clues.

Torie's family goes through some growing pains in book #2. We also learn a bit more about Sylvia Pershing and her connection to the Gaheimer House. This helps keep the characters from being one dimensional.

This is a very enjoyable addition to the series.

Book Two in the Torie O'Shea series. This time Torie finds mysterious documents in the home of Marie who, it appears, did not fall down her stairs by accident. This combined with a twisty plot and a pseudo history lesson in the same vein as the Knights Templar make for an interesting book. **Amazon Review

This was a great book! Fast read that really races along. Hated to put it down between chapters because I just HAD to see what happened next. Talks a bit about the 1st book, but doesn't give that story away. Now to order the other books in this series!!

Second book in the series featuring amateur sleuth and geneologist Torie O'Shea. New Kassel, Missouri resident Marie Dijon is found dead in her home. It appears that she fell down the stairs and broke her neck. But when Torie does a little snooping in Marie's house, she begins to suspect that Marie's death was not an accident. Key to Marie's death might be the translation of some old French documents which Torie found hidden in Marie's house. Along the way to solving the mystery, Torie does some research into 1700's French history, which I really enjoyed.

Another great story in this series!

I love Torie O'Shea! This book was great, except I hate being left wondering if the treasure was real or not, and wish Torie would have gone looking for it. :)
