I have been going through a bout of problem books, transactions, mailing etc.    I have had two books go missing in the mail on their way to me in the past week.  I am afraid that it makes me look bad to PBS but honestly, they never arrived!  Another couple of days and another one will be declared missing.  I have been receiving other books I ordered so I don't know why suddenly so many are going astray.

I have also received several books that did not meet PBS condition guidelines or my requestor condition.  I just hate having to send the dreaded received with a problem emails.  So many people lash out when they receive one.  Sometimes I even have my husband read them first so he can tell me if the sender was polite or not..

I love this site and overall have gotten many great books, some that appeared to be brand new!  I just wish everybody would abide by the rules, espcially when it comes to book condition.

I am so sorry that you are having trouble. My first letter home from my deployed son in Iraq was delivered down the street to a neighbor, who took the time to call me and I ran down the street to get it. It's a long story, but you may want to have a one on one with someone at the PO and let them know you are missing some important packages. And as far as the condition of books,,, some of mine look brand new, because I bought them and some have been passed around alot. We all have to be careful and try to retire the old ones before they get RWP'd. Some of us ae careful with our books and others can't put them down to eat that bowl of spaghetti , or cup of coffee. LOL Hope you have a better week.

Yep, it seems to go in waves.  I'd never received a RWAP book and then *BAM* three in two weeks.  Two of them I didn't ask for a credit back on, since I was sending them to my deployed son and knew I wouldn't be trading them again anyway, but I did RWAP them to let them know.  Fortunately, the sender of the third one was very polite, returned my credit, and I believe it was an honest mistake.

Maybe we should check the phases of the moon when there's a rash of RWAPs and lost books to see if there's a connection.  LOL

Yikes, I know what you mean. I once had two books go lost in one week and was worried how that would look. I ended up reordering them, though, so I figure it must not look too bad. If I had actually received them I wouldn't have reordered.

Hopefully things start to turn around for you soon!

If you start a wave of missing books, it's always best to report it to your Post Office.  It's possible they have a new hire who is stealing mail.  That happened to me once.
