I'm so irritated.  This is the first time this has happened to me.  I was on the list for the newest Harry Potter book for months, and finally had it offered to me.  The person accepted the request, and then it sat there for a week.  Today I got the notice that they never responded or mailed it, and it got canceled.  Now I'm back down to #7 in the que.  :(

Why do people accept requests and then never respond again?  Why not pass on it and let my request immediately move on to some else?  Argh.  Oh, well, I guess I'll get it eventually.  Thanks for listening.

Why are you at #7?  You should have been put back in first place, you need to click the send feedback link and ask about that.  As long as it was their fault, they cancelled or lost the book or what ever, and you didn't cancel you should go back to #1.

Yes, I was annoyed at the #7 thing.  All I could think of was that maybe there were 6 other people whose transactions were cancelled before mine?  I don't know.  I guess I could contact the admins and ask about it.

That could be, Stephen.  It would make sense to contact the admins.  Hope you get the book soon!

There may have been some people who were on vacation hold and put their account back on line as well.

My guess: it was probably a new person who joined on a whim and then decided they didn't want to do PBS afterall.  Or they didn't expect the book to be WL and then went on vacation.  It could just be that their computer crashed and that had no way to get back on to PBS. There are lots of reasons.
