Howland and unanimously adopted: Resolved. That the Vermont Historical Society express to Calvin Coolidge its grateful acknowledgments for his scholarly and philosophic address on "Some of the teachings of history," and request the privilege of publication, that it may preserve in its printed proceedings the words of a Ver- monter who not only interprets, but makes history. On motion of Dorman B. E. Kent the meeting was adjourned until 2 o'clock on the afternoon of April 12th, to meet in the room of the Vermont Historical Society. PHIL S. HOWES, Recording Secretary. Pursuant to adjournment the meeting was called to order in the room of the Society at 2 o'clock by President Stickney, with the following members present: Frederick D. Long, Dorman B. E.
