Hi there..I don't usually post book opinions/reviews but for you crafty folk who like something different and unique to do (like me lol..) and also those who have an abundance of  books (expecially vintage books) around and don't know what to do with them...check out this book  The repurposed Library:  33 craft projects that give old books new life isbn 9781584799092 by Lisa Occhipinti..and make craft items out of no longer wanted books!  I have been on the wl for it but just recently broke down and bought a copy with a half price coupon at a local craft store...It has so many cool items to make with books...bookshelf, kindle keepers, ornaments, vases, lamps, and lots of other neat ideas...It is a hardback book and like most craft books pricey  at 24.95 but if you see a used copy or sale on one, well worth the investment if you like unusual ideas..hope to make some holiday gifts for my book lover friends from these ideas.!  Love this book!.

would be interested to know if anyone has done any cool crafts with altered books.

http://www.squidoo.com/book-page-crafts This page has several ideas on how to use old books as well.  I have the repurposed library on my WL, but it's a long line.  I'm going to try the paper flowers using some old textbooks (I have five copies of the same book), I'll let you all know how it works out.

This would be a great thing to do with water damaged books that no one wants anymore.  Thanks for the link!
