I've had my share of not so satisfactory swaps - so I thought I'd share the joy of this one.  The paperback I'm looking at was printed in 1975 - and it's just a typical mass market paperback.  I got it today, and while one can see upon close examination that this book was read once, that appears to be all.

I've had this book in various ISBN's on my wish list since I became a member, and was expecting to get, at best, a very worn out old but readable book, and I finally get my wish granted with this gem!

The book, by the way is titled "The Last Days Of The Late Great State Of California", by Curt Gentry - and I'm told it is a fantastic read.

Off to curl up in my favourite chair with my favourite lap cat, a couple of cookies, a glass of milk and my book.  I'm glad work got out early today and I have a long weekend to enjoy!

Happy 4th weekend everyone!

That is wonderful M.E.! I have a few "oldies" that I would love to have but sure do hate a dirty, crummy book.   I'm getting pickier about it too. The other day I requested a book from the late 80's from the library and when it came in I couldnt even read it. Just too icky. I'm sure it's probably out of print so the library hangs on to it.  So its on my WL here now and I'm hoping for a good copy.  Congrats!
