I've been reading more contemporaries lately. Can't find anything to match Susan Elizabeth Phillips or Jennifer Crusie but have read some good revies of Victoria Dahl. Any fans or not fans - tell me about her"?

I love VD. Loved her first three historicals ( they had alot of emotional impact) and her latest not so much. Liked all her contemporaries(loved Jane's story the most), but the last one not so much.

I've read her 4 contemporaries.  The 3 Tumble Creek ones and her latest one, Crazy for Love.  I loved them all!  Definite LOL moments in all of them.

I love Victoria Dahl.  Start Me Up is my favorite of hers, but she hasn't written nearly enough contemporaries for me.  Have you tried Rachel Gibson?  She writes in a similar style and is one of my favorite authors.

I read Crazy For Love a couple months ago and gotta say I was not  "crazy" about it, lol.

It was my first book by this author. It was alright I guess, I may try another of hers in the future, maybe it was just the couple in the book that didnt do anything for me!

I tried Talk Me Down and it was a DNF for me. Dumb mystery and a lot of internal lusting monologues, which I just hate.

I love Victoria Dahl's contemporaries... I think her stories are great.  Not so full of the fake, over the top stuff, but some realistic steam.  Some funny moments too. I have yet to try her Regencies, but they're on my reminder list!  When I see her name attached to something, I automatically get it.

As a historical girl, I've read her historicals only.  As said, first 3-lots of emotional impact and a good storyline.  The latest, " A LIttle Bit Wicked"-not as much impact-fun, lighter-good, not great.

Haven't read Dahl's historicals, but I really enjoy her contemporaries.  I really liked the Tumble Creek trilogy but was kind of luke-warm on the latest one.  She's still an auto-buy for me though.

If you like SEP and Crusie, try Susan Mallery, Susan Donovan, Kristan Higgins, Toni Blake, Robin Kaye- some of my favorites.

I just found A Little Bit Wild at the library sale, so I guess I'll give her another try.
