Jackson is the author of two books: Redefining Beauty: Discovering Your Individual Beauty, Enhancing Your Self-Esteem (Warner Books, 1993) and Make Up Your Life: Every Woman's Guide to the Power of Makeup (HarperCollins, 2000).
Together with her husband, Jackson runs the Guthy-Jackson Charitable Foundation.The Guthy-Jackson Charitable Foundation is dedicated to funding research to further understand the pathophysiology and biochemistry of Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disease. Jackson and her husband started the foundation after the diagnosis of their daughter with the disease in June 2008. The Foundation provides opportunities to develop programs for the prevention, clinical treatment of and an eventual cure for this disease. The foundation provides an online community for those who have been diagnosed with NMO, as well as providing centralized information resources for individuals who want to learn more about the disease at http://www.guthyjacksonfoundation.org.
Jackson is married to Bill Guthy of Guthy-Renker. They have three children and currently live in Los Angeles.
