I wish people on PBS would be more honest and write bad reviews on bad books. This is why I check Amazon before ordering anything from here.

Let me just say I have this book on my shelf and I've had it on there for months.... but I am gonna be honest here, knowing this review wont get my book off the shelf...this book is barely readable. Half the book is just plain bad, the other half makes you question why this author even has a book out. There are so many good and wonderful romance books out there, read those...

But this is just my opinion. I only saw positive reviews on here, didnt want people to think this was a great book, because its not. Loved the plot, hated the writing style, lacked character development. The usual complaints people have about books they didnt like.

This was the first book i ever read by Ashland Price, and i must say it is still one of my favorites. I have reread this books so many times i'm afraid that it shall one day soon fall to piece in my hands. This books is filled excitement. Alanna is taken away from her homeland and thrust into the waiting arms of Storr, a strong Viking raider. Both are fierce and passionate characters. I enjoyed this so much, that evertime i read it i cannot set it down.

This is the first book in Price's Viking series. Young Alanna sighted a blond giant of a man in a nearby stream and guessed it to be the hated northern raiders she heard stories about. Though she should have fled she was intrigued by the handsome stranger. Alanna must alert her family of the raider, but she couldn't take her eyes off of his powerful body.

Storr, the Viking, was sent to the alien country for his Viking raiding party. Catching sight of the lovely maiden, who spied on him bathing, Storr had to think of something fast so that she would not sound an alarm to her family. Careful to not frightened her, he was able to get the upper hand and capture the beautiful woman. Now the two enemies need to find a common ground before they lose their hearts to one another.

When Alanna sighted a blond giant of a man bathing in a nearby stream, the Irish maiden guessed he was one of those dangerous northern raiders she'd heard tales of.

Intent on scouting the alien country for his Viking raiding party, Storr had no time for a furious Erse maiden! Yet, he could not let her sound an alert, so he took her captive."

It's a good book and I enjoyed it.

When Alanna sighted a blond giant of a man bathing in a nearby stream, the Irish maiden guessed he was one of those dangerous northern raiders she'd heard tales of. Though she should have fled, Alanna could not draw her eyes away from his bronzed muscles, long sun-gold hair, and piercing blue eyes. Before she knew it, the Norseman had captured her. Outraged, Alanna planned her escape: yet when his rock-hard arms enveloped her and his demanding kisses set her pulse on fire, she marveled that a man from a frozen land could evoke such a rapturous heat in her own blood.....
