This is one of the best Vietnam War books.

It reveals the dedication of an enhanced squad of U.S. Marines to protecting an obscure village and its inhabitants against constant VC and NVA harrassment and attacks. These men became a real part of the village and were accepted as such.

This enlightening glimpse of one of the many good sides of the conflict should not be missed.
