Book 9 in the Tales of Turnham Malpas. Bryn Field's return brings havoc to The Royal Oak and the lives of Georgie and Dicky. Another great installment in this wonderful chronicle of contemporary village life in a small English village. If village life chronicles are your cup of tea, you will love this series!

Book 8 in the Turnham Malpas series by Rebecca Shaw. Peter, the rector, is still missing and his wife Caroline is deeply worried. With Willie retired, Tom Nicholls comes to be hired to replace him as Verger for the church. Tom's wife, Evie, is somewhat a reticent recluse. Sir Ronald and Lady Sheila are badly attacked in their home and no one has a clue as to the reason why. Then to top it all off, Mr. Fitch from the Big House tries to make a big change in the Village but many of the townspeople are up in arms. There certainly is trouble stirring in the lovely Turnham Malpas Village.
