Based on the true story of feminist Mary Wollestonecraft. Exciting read.
What a miserable and depressing life this woman led. Even when she was happy, she wasn't happy. The book was quite compelling, sometimes in a most disgusting way, but an incredibly good read. I kept waiting for the character's luck to change, for something good to happen to her, but it never did. This book was listed as one of the top 20 novels of 1993, and it's defintely worth that distinction. Feel free to email with any questions. ~LeAnn
This was sometimes grim and aggravating, but inspiring.
fascinating depiction of a feminist during the french revolution. Sprinkled with some famous literary and revolutionary characters.
This book has been returned to my bookshelf and well worth an efforts needed to read it.
