This book is a collection of 70 amazing quilts, with each quilt artist offering their thoughts on their own quilt. These quilts are the top ones from a juried exposition of quilts from around the world.

It is amazing to see the different approaches to design; there are some very geometric quilts and some amorphous forms. Some are very like paintings, with some being very representational. There is at least one, strangely one of the more geometric, that is not pieced, but is completely "painted" by stamping.
