Excellent story with lots of adventure and heart. More concentration on Elvis Cole; not as much Pike in this one. A real page turner.

I was just getting in the groove with the Elvis Cole series, really enjoying them. Then I read "Voodoo River", which because it takes place mostly in Louisiana, is way out of the box. Now I'm really hooked. Crais really flexes his writing talents with this one, and you get super involved in what's going on. I thought the ending was a little contrived, like I'm going, "where is Crais going with this?", but then he smoothes it all over, and left me wanting to pick up the next one in the series right away. I really like the Elvis Cole stories, I bet you will too.
