Do we have any rules or guidelines for types of books? genre? do it have to be fiction?

The only rule is there has to be copies available in the PBS system sufficient for all of us to order.  That means at least 8 right now, maybe more later as we get new members.

Any genre is fine.  Fiction or non-fiction, doesn't matter, add what you like.  The total number of votes determines what we read.

We ask that each member limit themselves to adding no more than two books in any month to the voting list.  If you're first choice doesn't get any votes, you can delete it and add something else.

There aren't really any real rules other than having enough copies in the system to allow everyone to order one. I would like to personally plead that we don't put anymore ginormous books on the list but I don't want to stifle anyone in their choices :D

I voted, and didnt add any books this month.  Of course I said that last month and then added some.   I just saw so many good books so far, that I will not add any.   I have already The other Boleyn girl years ago for a womans book club.  If that one wins, I wont re read but I will participate.   I liked the VIOLET book.  I ordered book 2 in that violet series, from a box of books person.

I also liked another book, but dang already forgot which one..... Oh reading Lolita in Tehran.  I have that on my TBR along with the book Lolita.  I thought I would read Lolita first then the book about the book club in Tehran.

Carole - or anyone - is there a way to tell how many copies are in the system? I added to two books to the voting list, but wasn't awake enough to figure out if *enough* copies were available. Just curious.

Add it to your reminder list and it will tell you how many copies are in the system.

Love your choices DW, always glad to see someone who knows who Stephen Fry is, lol. I haven't heard of the other book or relationship but I loved Gilda Radner. From what I know about her in those days it's hard to believe she had a platonic relationship with a man, that should be interesting. I'm going to order it anyway whether it gets picked or not.

I hope maybe in a future month someone will add some of those May choices,  the PTA one, and the Geist book about the bride.  Cause I did order those 2 books.  But not this month.

I already have (and have read) The Liar and I had already ordered a copy of the Gilda Radner book so that's one less copy of each needed.

Heather, on a Mac you have to hold the control key while you click to get the "save image as" option.

I found all the images in my signature on google, I then did Select all when it was a full size image, with the only thing on the screen. THen I copied, and pasted.

No wait that is how I copy things to put in a post.     I did Save page as and downloaded the image to my computer.   Then on my profile settings I had to upload the image.  The problem is I cant Seem to save the image to my documents or my photos.

I'm not a mac user so I'm not sure how it works with mac. I know with pc it is right click and save. I searched and read that you can drag and drop it to your desktop or into a file folder on mac but I dunno if that really works.

I'm having a heck of a time finding questions for the top contenders on the list. I can't even find a discussion for Through Violet Eyes and none that are open to the public for Liar. If one of those two wins we'll definitely have to come up with questions of our own.
