Judith and Johnny Fowler(better known as Jophnny Osage because of his relationship with the Osage Indians) begin a dangerous and unmarked journey with a wagon train full of trade goods to Santa Fe.Judith must learn to cope with being the only woman on the train and also learn all her new husbands ways as leader of the train. It's sometimes dangerous and mostly uncomfortable with many trials along the way. This is a good book but a little different than many of Janice Giles's books.
