WASP
Author: Eric Frank Russell
It was an unorthodox way to fight a war, especially an interplanetary war. But sometimes war can be more effectively fought that way. So they trained James Mowry intensively, altered his appearance by surgery and sent him off across the void to Jaimec, the ninety-fourth planet of Sirius, to stampede an empire.

This is a great story and a standout member of the Science Fiction Canon. Most of Russell's writing gives hope for the human race against the multitudes of aliens who would crush us. (Unbelievably, he took a lot of slack for that) If you love sci-fi you have to read Russell's short stories. If you haven't yet, this story will make you an instant Russell fan.

This is one of my favorite sci-fi novels. I've thought of it many times over the years. The premise is quite simple. If a wasp in a car can cause the driver to have an accident, how much damage can one man do on an enemy planet. As it turns out, quite a lot.
