Somehow all my WL books went on vacation hold - which I didn't do. The only way to take them off hold is to make them all auto-request. If I take them off AR they go back to vacation hold. Clicking on the un-hold button doesn't work for me. What am I doing wrong? Gail |

Duh, I answered my own question. My Shelf was on hold so WL did, too. I feel like an idiot........ Last Edited on: 11/6/10 9:04 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

There are two types of Holds you can have on your Wish List - Vacation Hold and the Individual Hold. If you put your Bookshelf on Vacation Hold, then any books that are not set to Auto-Request will be put on the Vacation Hold too because it is assumed if you are on vacation you cannot accept a Wish List offer. The only way to take a Wish List book off of Vacation Hold is to remove the Vacation Hold on your account or set it to Auto-Request-Yes. The other type of hold -the Individual Hold- is what the Unhold button is for. If you want to put a book on Hold without having your whole account on vacation Hold, you check the book and click Hold. When you are ready to receive offers on that book, you check the book and click Unhold. You would maintain your place in the line and continue to move up until you hit the #1 spot and the you would be skipped for offers until the Hold was removed. |
