can someone explain this to me?  i just looked at the top 50 requested books.  this is on there. i have this book on my shelf.  why do i still have the book on my shelf? lol1

If it's on the top 50 requested, then yes, it's FIFO.  Those requested books are all in front of you in line. 

On the bright side, if it's frequently requested then your position in line just keeps moving up, and it'll hopefully be ordered before you know it.

I just checked, though - Reading Lolita is on the list of top 50 requested in all time, not the past 30 or 7 days.  So the line may be moving, just not as fast as it would be were it on one of the other lists.

If it's top 50 of all time-it might have been a WL book at one time with a long line that moved pretty fast.  Now that it's available in the system-the requests for it have probably slow down. At some point there will probably be 100 copies of Water For Elephants available on PBS. The WL is so long-you know people are going to get tired of waiting and buy the book to post here. 

and your book could have a different ISBN than the one that everyoe has on their WL. if so, post it in WL books with different ISBN's on the Discussion Forum.
