Hello everyone! I hope that you all are having a great week!

One of my WL books became available: Rodrick Rules (Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Bk 2) so I marked that I wanted it. It has been sitting with "Waiting For Member" since the 17th.  They have until the 23rd to mail it.  All of the other WL copies of the book went on hold except one slipped through. (The other copy is a rarely posted copy, no artwork posted, that had the estimation date as N/A. So it was a surprise when it posted that it was available.)

So I now have one requested and one wish list offer to accept or reject on the same book.  I have 48 hours to accept or reject. What would you all do?

I am thinking about rejecting the 2nd copy and waiting on the first member until the 23rd and then get placed back in line if they do not respond.  Am I doing this right or not?  I have never had two WL books pop up at the same time. I checked the FAQs but could not find an answer.  Thanks for the help.

I have had that happen to me once here. As a trained cynic from birth, I accepted both, and of course they both came within days. I shared one with a friend and read and reposted the other one back into the system. It was win - win for me, since I got the book I wanted and was able to share the other copy with a fellow reader.

Better safe than sorry--I would rather have 2 copies than none!

I concur! I would accept the 2nd book as well...you know it is a wishlist book, so if you do get both you just relist the extra one. If your luck is like mine, if you turn down the 2nd book, the first one will time out and it will be months before it is offered to you again!

I personally would cancel the 2nd request.  Even if for some reason the current request doesn't get to you, you'll go back in line at #1 so you'll get it eventually - probably fairly quickly.

I agree with accepting both books - better 2 than none and as they're WL - if you o get both, you can list the one you don't want to keep.

Since its Roderick Rules - a fairly recently published book - and not Janet Arnolds Patterns of Fashion or something like that, I would turn down the second request .  I don't keep a lot of credits on hand though.   If you have lots of extra credits and don't mind tieing up 2 in the same book then requesting both wouldn't hurt.
