I had a WL offered while I was out of town for three days.  I generally place any that are close to coming available on auto when I'm not going to be able to check my account for a few day.  But this one just popped up unexpectedly it was still showing many weeks away before I left..  It was canceled and rolled on.  So I missed it.  BOo HOo.  the system took the book off my WL and when I put it back on now I'm 78th in line again.  Not fair.  Is there any way to get bumped back up?

No. They won't usually give someone their place back just because they missed the offer and it timed out; only when it was the system's or another member's fault that the place was lost.

thanks Melanie.  Happy news I've been offered 2 other WL books this evening so it makes up for the one opportunity missed .

That's good, give you something to read while the other works its  way back up.

Sometimes members do friends a "favor" and post WL books directly to them without letting them know. Your case is why I always suggest PMing before doing it so that it doesn't bump someone off of the wish list inadvertantly. Its fun to surprise someone, but not so much when the surprise is the loss of a WL spot.

I hope it moves quickly for you!

If you have your WL items on auto and you go on vacation hold do they automatically ship to you?

Yes, books in AR are not affected by the hold.
