Hello

I found a BEAUTIFUL copy of a WL list book (WL is 270 or so I think!) except for a small flaw.  The 1st inside title page has a bit of moisture damage that has simply wrinkled the page a bit.  The next 2 pages are slight wrinkled otherwise the book looks near new.  Would this be unpostable or postable?

If unpostable - how are we allowed to offer unpostables?  For example can we:

  • Offer the unpostable with the order of X amount of books from shelf
  • Offer the unpostable to someone along with credits for a book deal? (if I wanted several from their shelf for example)
  • Do a fun contest and give the unpostable as the prize?

Thank you for the help.

I think you can offer it on the Bazaar board as an upostable but still ask for a credit.

That book is unpostable. You cannot post it and then ask the wisher if they want it with the damage.

You can, however, offer it in the book bazaar and ask a credit for it as well.  But you have to clearly state the damage. Then if someone doesn't mind they can contact you and you can post it right to them. I did the recently with a copy of New Moon that I found for .25.  It looked beautiful with a flawless dust jacket. But when I got it home I noticed a tiny stain on 2 pages.  Like 1 tiny drop of coffee or soda had splashed.  It was snapped up right away for a credit after I posted it in the book bazaar.

Per PBS postability guidelines, no liquid damage of any kind in FIFO.  But definately list in Book Bazaar for credit, just be clear about the book condition.

Depending on the genre, some forums have threads for listing wishlisted books also.  Again, be clear it's unpostable and note the condtion and hopefully you will have no probelm receiving a credit for your book...and make somebody's day!
