Hi All, I am wondering about the "new" WL workings. It used to be that a book would not come off of my WL until I marked it as received. Now, as soon as I order a WL book that's been posted, it comes off my WL immediately. As we all know, book requests can get canceled, or occasionally lost in the mail. So, should either of those events happen when I request a WL, does that mean my WL book wish goes to the end of the line again, or is it replaced at the first in line? Thanks in advance, J

Hi Judy, The "new" WL hasn't started yet. From the Help Center: If a book is lost in the mail, and "the book was a Wish List book when it was requested before, the requestor will go back to #1 in line for the book." |

I can't see how it would stay on your WL, the system should only reserve one book for you. Lost in mail or cancelled, you would go back to first, but all the books posted in between would not be held waiting for confirmation that you received the book. |

right it always comes off your WL once you accept (or decline for that matter) but if it comes up missing you get put back to the front of the line so to speak. The only time you'd see WL titles on your list after you've accepted a book is if they are different versions, and then I suggest you not delete them until your book arrives just in case because you do not get re-instated to your slot on alternate versions you delete manually. |
