Your kidding me right? I read where a person had some RC's so she didn't get her WL books. I have no RC"S and I couldn't get a WL book if it were floating around in this room i'm in. I see where so many people say they get their WL books here so quick! DO TELL!  I have all of mine on auto request and I have rather everyday books on my WL and still can't get them..If there is something you know and wanna share then i'm ALL ear's...Do tell...

I have 91 credits and still can't get these WL books.... Oh where oh where are the WL books at? Oh where oh where can they be?????

Think that might get me a couple WL books?

I doubt it

Cyndi, it looks like you wishlist Large Print books, which are much harder to come by because less people read those, even the more popular titles. That means they are posted a lot less frequently and all you can do is wait your turn in line.

People with RCs do get wishlisted books--it just may take longer. If someone's book doesn't meet their RC's, they don't lose their place in line, they go back to where they were and wait for the next posted copy.

First you don't have a very big WL.  I get a regular supply of WL books here but I'm always maxed out. The wider net you cast the more bites you get.

Also I think Spuddie might be right and it's because you are mostly wishing for large print.

I only see a few common books on your wish list, all added just last month and are new releases. The rest may be common in other bindings, but pretty rare in Large Print.

Both Cindy and Mary are right.

  • Most of the books you have are Large Print and those are not posted as often.
  • You don't have as many books on your WL.

Both those things account for the fact that you don't get many WL books posted. If I were you, I'd add more books to my WL and consider if there are any that you can read in 'regular' print.

I've also found that when I've posted Large Print books (and they're not WLed) they seem to take longer to get requested so I don't pick up LP books very often.  Good luck. Pat

I am sorry your WL is not moving.

I will make a point to keep my eye out for large print books by J. Evanovich, Stuart Woods and James Patterson.

Generally, I hesitate to buy these authors, because they usually have plenty of books in the system. But, in this case, I will make an exception.

Keep :)

ETA...How many wishers for these books? Are you the only one? Just curious...

I usually hit the thrift stores a few times a month, so I'll keep your list in mind when I go.

I think it is Large Print that is causing the slow down.  They are not as common as the other books. Soon,  I will start attending the summer FOL sales, so if I see any, I will pick them up for you.   I also sort for my local Library FOL sale, I will see what they have in their LP section.

Have you thought about Ebooks? You have a lot more variety & you can enlarge the font until it's HUGE. I don't need my glasses when I'm reading digital. I always find discounts and coupons too so it's not too expensive.

just looked at your wish list.

I saw at least 10 of your titles are available to order through PBS in either paperback or hardcover versions.
