So I have a book that I've been on the WL forever on and finally got a message this week that it came up (I was finally first in line and the book got posted).  I ordered and now got a message from PBS saying "we couldn't reach poster so we cancelled your order, gave you back credit and put it back on your WL".  OK, I understand things happen, but when I check my WL, I'm now #2 (of 600+ people) for the book....but shouldn't I be #1?

Maybe the same thing happened to someone else after it happened to you and them getting put back at #1 was after you got put back at #1 making you #2?

Or it may have been that someone had their account on hold and when they took it off hold, they regained their #1 status.

I've sure had a run of bad luck with something similar happening to me several times lately. I had two that had been on my wish list almost since joining and they were finally offered to me only to get the message a few days later that they had sent numerous messages to the poster with no response. Then I had another one come to me on my wish list only to get the message sorry I gave the book to a friend. Sure is disapointing but hopefully someday I'll get the books.

What I'm having trouble understanding is, that if someone is first on the wish list and gets a wish list book offered, that means it was just posted, right?  Then why in the world does the poster immediately disappear?  That's happened to me a couple of times too.  Weird.
