This book was great! I had actually started to read The Courtesan by Susan Carroll, but the book kept referencing things from the other book, so I read Dark Queen first.

This book had a little of everything in it; romance, royalty, betrayal, witchcraft...It's not much of a history persay type of book, but there's a little bit of history in the story. It's a fast read. I couldn't put it down. There was just enough adventure to keep you wanting more to read. I can't wait to continue with The Courtesan!

Thanks for the heads up, Eve! It sounds good. The best part is, it's sitting on my shelf. :)

Bumping it up the TBR list.

OK, I just finished The Courtesan, also written by Susan Carroll and it was just as good as the first book. There wasn't as much witch crafty stuff, but it was still goooooood. I started it yesterday and finished it today. Again, one that I couldn't put down!

I really enjoyed the Dark Queen.  It's an enjoyable story.  I've got the Courtesan in my stack.  It's good to hear that book 2 is as good as book 1.
