Does anyone know of any historicals set during WW 2? I have Morning Glory by LaVyrle Spencer (I saw on another topic that this has a WW 2 romance in it) but I have to wait to read because it's Christmas present for my mom.

I loved the WW 2 subplots in Brockmann's Troubleshooter series so I'd love to read some romances set during that time period. A bonus would be if there was some sort of plot involving England (RAF or something like that).

I don't think these a classified as romance and I haven't read them myself though saw bits and pieces of the miniseries made from the books but maybe check out The Winds of War and War and Remembrance. I hate to mention them since I haven't read them myself but they're pretty thick books and not sure if the movie emphasized the romance to make it more appealing to women, you know? I keep meaning to look into them myself but something always captured my attention first! the books t hemselves may just be a lot of history.

If you like gettiing glimpses of WWII I read merline lovelace's cleo north trilogy and the last book  - the last bullet- flashes back to stuff in WWII though not really a 'romance' but it awakened an interest if WWII in me.

I'm new to historical so I'm pretty much gonna have to check back here and see what's been suggested. Seems like Sherry or someone else here was looking for this same time period a while back..mabye 6 months ago or so... ETa think this is the one  http://www.paperbackswap.com/forum/topic.php?t=109163

Blood Moon over Britain and Blood Moon Over Bengal I believe take place in that time frame. The author's name escapes me at the moment.

Somewhere I got a recommendation (like you, after reading Morning Glory and the Trouble Shooter subplots, I wanted more!) about these:

Dorothy Garlock: a 4-book series, With Hope, With Song, With Heart, and After The Parade - it looks like only After The Parade is WWII, about a returning veteran.

I have not read them (have the titles in my To Someday Acquire list).

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm really surprised there aren't more historicals (kind of like the Harlequin historical types) written about that time period. You'd think it would be a new time period for authors to explore.

Yeah I think I asked this once as well.  I've looked for them before and there just aren't that many.
