For the first time since I've been writing reviews, I'm at a loss. I don't want to spoil this book for any future readers and it's very hard to describe it without doing that.

This book blew me away! When I started it, I thought, "Oh no, it's just going to be sex and self pity". How wrong I was! I lived with Tess throughout the entire book. I cried with her, laughed (but not often), and even prayed for her to make right choices. I came to love the unlovable woman she saw in herself.

This is not an easy read. It will haunt and change you. It will also tell you so much about women, especially those with no self esteem who have been battered by life and the people in it.

I will not forget this book for a very long time, if ever. It really was amazing!
