This is a quick, easy read. It's a very sweet story about friendship and love - didn't make me cry, but I enjoyed it. I won't compare it to the movie since I found that the book and the movie really didn't seem to be very similar at all (in my opinion).

I have read this book a few times growing up, and I still love it. It is a very touching story, yet an easy read. I would describe it as a sad love story, yet lessons are learned throughout.

"First you will smile, and then you will cry -- don't say you haven't been warned." says the main character, Landon Clark. I found this a sweet lovely book; I read it in one sitting because as chapters ended I was just drawn into the next one. Writing was sooth and the story flowed nicely. By the ending I wanted wanted it to end as it did; in real life I am not sure the ending was right.

Nicholas Sparks is not my favorite author, but nonetheless I find myself reading one or two of his novels each year. I guess I need a romance fix every six months or so.
