When home robberies continue to occur for over a year in Purgatory, Texas, Martha Doyle asks the Texas Rangers to send her nephew, Clayton Walker to solve the crimes. What no one knows is that Martha has a secret motive (other than solving the robberies) for requesting that the handsome ranger be sent to Purgatory. Martha wants her beautiful widowed daughter-in-law to resume her life. The love story that develops is full of humor and a couple of twists. I found myself often smiling as I read this book. This was quick, fun read.
This is the first in a series that continues in Callie's Convict and Hannah's Half-Breed.
