A great older book for Walton's fans. :-D
I am a big fan of the hardcover Whitman tv books from the 60s and 70s. They are so entertaining and today, they deliver so much nostalgia and happy warm feelings. This book is no different.
A neighbor's farm is weeks from being foreclosed on, and soon their friends will be penniless and possibly homeless. John-Boy devises a plan that could save their friends' farm--but it requires all their neighbors on Walton's Mountain to join in and keep their promises to stick to the plan no matter what. What will happen on the day the farm is auctioned off?
This sweet story unfolds easily, and reads just like an episode of the old tv show. And the whole Walton family is here.
*** 1/2 Three and a half stars!
