My rating is based on its interest to someone who loves sailing. This is the 1976 edition of a book published in 1939 including a new preface (written from Tahiti). There are 27 endnotes, index, maps, photos, and a diagram of the boat. It opens with a mischance while sailing the Wanderer I, his first boat. There is some description of people and places but it is mostly a sailing diary.
"We left under all sail and beat out of the river with some difficulty under a light S. air. For once again we had the tide against us and in an attempt to cheat it, we stood in a little too close...."
