One of my WL books came up...yay!  Sender accepted and agreed to mail by 3/7...yay!  Then I recieve this PM:

HEY I WILL BE ABLE TO HAVE THE BOOK MAILED OUT TO YOU BY APRIL 1ST WILL THAT WORK I HOPE SO PLEASE LAT ME KNOW SORRY FOR ANY TROUBLES THAT MAY CAUSE YOU

A month?!?!  I've tried writing a PM to this person (who just signed up on 3/1) but everytime I go to send it, it sounds like I'm being a witch but with a b.  I don't want that.  I would like to explain to her how the site works but I still come off sounding witchy.  Maybe it's because I still can't believe the PM.  A MONTH?!?

I tried looking in the help section but I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for.

So, if someone could help me not be so witchy in my PM, I'd appreciate.

P.S.  I also want her to know that, no, it won't "work for me".

I would just tell her that you do not want to wait that long and could she please cancel the transaction. This way the cancellation is on her record not yours. Nothing witchy about it.

I know what you mean, I would probably just say thanks but no thanks.  That way she might think twice about what she asked without you having to say too much.

I'd simply tell her that if she's unable to mail the book by the date she indicated to PBS, she needs to cancel the transaction since the system doesn't allow for her delaying mailing for that long.

How about a simple " I am sorry you are unable to mail the book by that date you told the system you would. Please cancel the transaction and, when you are able to send it within the time allowed by PBS, repost it."

I would say something like " I am so excited to be first in line.  Would you mind cancelling the order so that I go back to being first. in line?  You can repost it closer to April and I am sure it will get snapped up right away"

I personally wouldn't worry about being witchy, would ask them to either mail the book as promised or cancel the order so you can go back to #1 on the wishlist, then include the link to the help center that someone posted above. I can't believe she wants to hold your book hostage for a whole month, meanwhile taking your wish out of circulation so that if it's posted again during that time, you're totally missing out on it.

It sounds like this person didn't bother to read any of the help center info. I'm completely losing patience with people who sign up for something with no idea how it works and don't bother to find out BEFORE they actually start listing books willy nilly.
