Katherine N. (kimberlyrav), the reason it is 8 credits is because the powers that be have exempted this thread from the $3 per credit rule.  They would have let us stay at 10 credits for standard membership and 6 credits for limited memberships because we are helping people, who are credit rich, stay active.  I chose to change the credits needed to 8 and 5.  As I mentioned when you PMed me, and I answered your PM, you are welcome to post and ask if anyone would be willing to purchase a membership for 7 credits instead of 8.  Some members are willing to do that.  

I did also PM Terry H. (PBRmama) to suggest PMing the first member on the list.

If you all are looking for a book charity, PBS has opened the summer Books for Schools  page.  They are collecting credits and money to go to a summer camp and 5 Title I schools in Georgia.  Their hope is summer reading books for disadvantaged kids.  If you have any credits to spare, I think it's a pretty good cause.
