I am in the happy position of having a few credits but don't know what I want to get (actually I have some things wish-listed that don't seem to be coming up).

I am going to list my interests and if you think your book shelf might contain something I'd like go ahead and draw my attention to it either by PMing me or responding here.  You can also check my wish list and see if you have something on there that you perhaps just haven't posted.  I'm gg to put this on the Christian Book forum too

  • Homeschool girl (14), boy (9), neither are big readers but will consider getting some good fiction for them
  • I love GOOD Christian fiction - not romancy, more thriller, mystery etc, although I do love Francine Rivers.  I have read most of her stuff though.
  • I also read a lot of good devotionals and am always interested in more
  • I'm not a big cook but will consider some cook books.

Please check out my book shelf for something you might want while you're at it!  Thanks!

Hi,

We have a wondrful men's devotional that my husband loved by Stephen Arterburn. And if you haven't read The Passion of Love or What's in the Bible for Couples you might consider them. Most of our kid books are good like the Animal Ark story about wolves, but the Flat Stanley book and his magic lamp might be interesting for your 9 year old. We have been having alot of fun with the yahoo flat travelers group and my son has been enjoying Flat Stanley  even though he's eleven. But I have to say his favorite books are some of the trailblazers. So you might want to check on the previous posts wish list.

God bless, Tricia

Here are some ideas from my shelf  - new/like new books w/ an asterisk:

  • The Dolphin Diaries*
  • Great Escapes of World War II*
  • The Green Glass Sea*
  • More Adventues of the Wishing Chair
  • Sable*
  • The Young Man and the Sea

I also have a LOT of Janette Oke books - I know you said no romance, but I wanted to point them out.  To me their more historical fiction.  I'll make a deal on the Oke books.
