Second in a series, with River God being the first. You really need to read them in order to get a feel from whence they came

to me this was a difficult book. i had expected better as the first book in the series was one of my favorite books. For me, this was too gory. it is all about ancient Egypt after the death of the gratest Pharoah.

This is the sequel to "River God" by Wilbur Smith who is one of the most acclaimed adventure writers today. In the wake of a 60 year old reign of the kingdoms of Egypt, two young pharoahs have risen to claim power, but only one will succeed.

A Pharaoh's vision of a brilliant new empire. An assassin's dream of a apocalyptic world. A warlock who holds the key to the future.

Another great book in the egyptian series with Taita. I enjoyed it and couldn't put it down. I also read the seventh scroll and thought the author was very clever in bringing the story to modern times and tying it together.
