One of my favorite Ellora's Cave books. One of my keepers. Linnea has been held captive, and tortured by her uncle for years. She escapes, and is found by the Warlord, who, she has been led to believe, wants her whole family dead. She refuses to reveal her real identity. He knows she's lying. The Uncle is hunting her. Linea and the Warlord all in love. I really liked this one.

Linea has been stifled and abused for most of her life at the hands of her brutal uncle. She escapes only to be captured by King Draven Amaranth, a warlord she'd been taught was bent on the destruction of her family. Quickly she learns this warlord king is no ordinary man. In his arms her body burns and her heart longs for more of him. Through him she discovers her overwhelming desires and an extraordinary gift, a part of herself that she never knew, a part that may prove to be more of a curse than a gift.
