I had this crazy and awesome idea to do a WASHY TAPE SWAP! I know several of us use it! Wouldnt it be great to have a group of ladies together and like the sticker Train Mona runs, this could be just like that! I throw in a small roll or a big roll, doesnt matter. One roll. Then we have a list of ladies. I send a roll to the next person on the list, then they keep the washy tape and put one back in, and go down the line. Id like to get a tally of ladies interested in doing this.  If your interested let me know below and any ideas on how we could improve it or add to it. Any negatives or positives.

There are a MILLION types of Washy tape. Ive seen so many designs and colors.

I would love to do this Kimmy!!!!

Rolls of washi tape would cost more to send though.... and I know for me if I have to send to california it almost always has to be mailed with priority shipping.

I am sure there is a way to make it work though... and it would be tons of fun!

I really love washi tape!!! :-) :-) :-)

And if for some reason no one else is interested I would be happy to swap some washi tape with you Kimmy :-)

I think it might be a fun idea if we each had a partner :-)

That way no one had to send a big pile of washi tape... because of the postage unfortunately...

But maybe if we did partners we could send each partner maybe 3 rolls or something :-)

Washi tape is a lot of fun. I use it often as a border around a printed out image. Lol, sometimes to straighten the cut of a not so good scissors :p I think a tape swap would be fun for sure. For me, it would be too costly unless a one time thing to send to one person. I also think we had at one time talked about doing a Christmas exchange. Perhaps a roll of tape and a sheet or two of stickers could be part of that. Just an idea :)

I would be interested in participating in a washi tape swap.  It's my favorite thing for journals and homemade cards. I agree, the cost could be an issue if we are mailing a lot of rolls across the country each time.  I like Mona's idea of partners.

I totally LOVE the partner idea. Only looks like 6 takers..You know I was coming up the steps and I realized that yeah, it would be costly. It costs more than the tape which makes it over the board lol so to speak.  Unless its like the Fairy Pakcages we already do Michelle.S.  Have we already got catsrus and Melissa B in the Fairy Forum swap Happy Mail thingy Michelle? I know Mona and Sophia already know about it.

Kimmy, what an awesome idea to include a roll of tape in a fairy to fairy mail package. That way it is not a separate expense. As you probably know, sometimes Dollar Tree has nice tape. To send a dollar roll of tape would probably cost $3? plus of course the envelope. That was also why I had thought maybe of doing this at Christmastime as part of an exchange.

Sorry Kimmy... Yes Melissa and Gina are both in Fairy to Fairy :-)

And I am happy about exchanging a roll of washi tape with a partner :-) However that works out best...

I am not sure if I will be able to coordinate Fairy to Fairy Mail with this though as we have already had a couple months of switching partners and I need to make sure everyone is getting new partners...  but I can do my best to try to figure it out... Just let me know... Im just not sure though..

Now that I am thinking about it... I don't think it could work with Fairy to Fairy Happy Mail because not everyone in Fairy to Fairy would be doing the washi tape exchange and it wouldn't be fair to all of them... I'm really sorry guys....

I hope that we can make this work as a different exchange though....

I am really excited about washi tape! :-)

On swapbot we use playing cards to wrap the washi tape around toswap it.

usually 12-18 inches of multiple samples.

it has to be true washi to be able to unroll it from the playing card.

some dollar tree wont work.

some Duck brand is more ducktape than washi.

i have almost 200 rolls

Oh! That is really neat Yvonne.. I love that idea! And it makes swapping so much easier. We just all need to make sure we have true washi tape so it will unroll. :-)

I found that I could squash the tape even with the center in it  into a flat and put in a 6 x 9 manilla envelope.  This way the mailing cost isn't too bad.
