It's a graphic novel by Alan Moore (illustrated by Dave Gibbons).  I've not read it, but if you like graphic novels, it's supposed to be one of the best out there.

It's really, really great.  Pretty much any graphic novel by Alan Moore is worth your time.

I am really not into comics/superheroes at all, but my co-worker loaned me the graphic novel and I really liked it.  I'm definitely looking forward to the movie.

It is a graphic novel but its very literary, for all that, with lots of intricate plotlines, characters and motifs running through it.  And it basically just a fantastic story.  I would definitely recommend checking it out, its not typical "superhero" fare.

I'm reading it now.  I'm about 1/3 the way through.  Very clever concept.  Can see where "Heroes" the TV show got its inspiration.  Has all the elements including troubled souls, special abilities, dark view of life, idealists and sadists unite to create hope and havoc.  Uses flashbacks, clever perspectives (graphic novels are like storyboards, explores camera angles) good mix of colors for effect and good drawing, mature narrative, not for the kids.

I can't wait to watch the movie.  I read the book and the trailer shows that it's very much like that.  I love the way that you can read the book over and keep on finding new stuff!

One of my favorite books.  Whether you like graphic novels or not, you have to admit that alan moore has skill.

I enjoyed that movie a lot.  I am reading Watchmen and almost finished.  It is uncanny how in 1985 he saw a lot things that are with us today.  Government censorship, a "Homeland Security" agency and suppression of civil rights.   Hope the movie does it justice.
