This book was filled with sexual tension, frustration, and confusion and it felt like every single word was carefully chosen so that it would have the greatest impact possible. It was like reading silk. Tonya is an artist that falls in love with a man that it is everything a black woman could hope for. Then she meets the woman of her dreams and finds that she is very confused. She has a hell of a time finding herself and lashes out constantly while trying to figure it all out. It was painful at times, but ultimately a journey I truly enjoyed.
