I'm having a hard time deciding if a recent swap I recieved has water damage.  The spine sort of bends to one side and the rest of the book follows suit.  The edge of the pages are not wavy like I would expect with water damage, but there is a small area on the top of the last few pages that seems a little pressed in (though not ripped).  Any ideas?  I'd hate to mark if RWAP if the book is just warped from use.

I personally think that water damage is when the texture changes.  Rather than a book that was held wrong.  I keep an old dictionary to punish books that misbehave.  (My sweetie does nasty things to book spines,  Not a total OC book freak like me.)

Well, the reason I started thinking water damage is because it does feel....wrong when I flip through it.  But that's hard to describe in words, and if I showed you a picture of the book it would probably look fine.  I think I'll just mark it recieied ok and just not repost it.

It does not sound like water damage to me.

High humidity will change a book, yet not be water damage.  Same with hot hands rolling the cover.

Yah, it sounds like the book just got really really bent, and maybe was in a humid climate.  Real damage from liquids is usually pretty obvious.
