I am about half way done with Water for Elephants & am surprised I am liking it as much as I am!  My question is have any of you read anything else by Sara Gruen, if so what & what did you think?  How do her other books compare in your opinion to Water for Elephants?

I haven't read any of her other books...YET...but I have 2 TBRs she had written before "...Elephants":

"Riding Lessons" and its sequel, "Flying Changes".  I also saw she has a new one coming out called "Ape House", but don't know what that's about.

I was totally shocked over how much I enjoyed Water for Elephants.  Wasn't expecting to like it, & I couldn't put the book down.  After reading that I had to check out her other books.  Riding Lessons & Flying Changes.

Nothing like Water for Elephants, but still great books.  Read Riding Lessons 1st.    I don't think you'll be disappointed if you get them.

I loved Water for Elephants - I didn't even think to check if she had other books out. I'm gonna have to read the other ones, too! Thanks ladies.

I too loved Water for Elephants but read some of the other two books on Barnes and Noble previews and didn't think I would like the other two so didn't read.  I passed on my copy of Water for Elephants but the other gals didn't think it was that good!

I read "Riding Lessons" and its sequel, "Flying Changes", a long time ago.   I looked for years for other books by Sara Gruen and was so thrilled when Water For Elephants was published.    I'm sure you'd enjoy those books as well.

I LOVED both Riding Lessons and Flying Changes and I read those before Water for Elephants.  I'm sure if you liked that- you'll enjoy her first two.

I loved Water For Elephants and think it's one of the best books I've read this year. Riding Lessons is now waiting in my TBR pile...maybe I'll move it closer to the top.

Wow, thanks everyone for your input.  I honestly had never heard of Sara Gruen before I happened to see Water for Elephants at Target one night.  Now I am looking forward to her others!

If you liked Water for Elephants read The Final Confession of Mabel Stark by Robert Hough.  I noticed that it's available to order.  I read it before Water for Elephants and I sort of think I might like it better and I really enjoyed Water...

The Final Confession of Mabel Stark  is about a woman lion tamer in the old circuses....much of it was true according to the author.  Interesting reading, I thought.

Just a suggestion...

Although Riding Lessons and Flying Changes are completely different from Water for Elephants, they are all very good reads.
