Slowly Mel walked across the courtyard, drawn by a fountain centerpiece that stood silhouetted agains the blue of the Mediterranean. As he came closer, he saw that the figure was of a man holding a child in his arms. Leaning against his leg wa sa water jar through which water flowed unimpeded into the basin of the fountain.
