Hi, I'm moving at the end of the month. I would like to continue filling any requests that come my way until my books are packed up (less to mve that way) but I no longer wish to have my own requests come to the top of the queue since I won't be here by the time the book arrives. If I turn down the "do you want this book" doesn't it remove me from the queue altogether? Vacation hold stops all activitiy whereas I just wish to stop my own wishlist book requests from getting to the top of the stack. Any ideas? Thanks! |

There is a "hold" button on your wishlist page. You check mark the books you want to put on hold...then select "hold". It's located at the top right of your wishlist. When you put your mouse cursor over it, it states "Hide your wish for the checked books from the system (so that you will not be offered the books) while keeping your place in line." Therefore, it would put your wishlist books on hold, keep your place in line, and people would be able to still order from your shelf. I've never used it, but that's how it should work. Good luck! Yep, Kellie is right. The wish list hold will keep your wish list requests from being offered to you, but you will still move up in the line. That way you can continue to fill requests from your bookshelf without requesting anything yourself. |

Good luck on your move. Also remember to put your whole shelf on 'Vacation Hold' when you're no longer going to be able to ship books. If you just put your Bookshelf on HOLD (not your WLed books), when you take it off your books will go to the bottom of the list. This only applies to your BOOK SHELF, not your WISH LISTED books though. Pat |

Thanks for the info. That's exactly what I needed :). |

As Pat said, the bookshelf hold is very different than the WL hold. They might have the same name, but they have very different results. Feel free to put your WL on hold. But only put your bookshelf on vacation hold.
