"The Way We Were" is the second longest book written by John Henry Morel since he began writing. The only book of his that is longer than this book is "The High and the Mighty." "The Way We Were" is a book about the metaphysics of subatomic particles and their relationship to matter and man. Also, and ironically so, this book is more about man than about subatomic particles. It has a penchant for giving away too much of the farm in the process of diagramming man's habitual need for the obvious and too little about the writers themselves. In other words, this book is written by particles about particles, believe it or not, and believe us, this book was not written by man or a man or by John Henry Morel, except for the fact that he typed it up and it happens to have intros and forewords contributed by his nature, but other than that, this book was most definitely not written by a human being or anything close to it, and that means a lot where we come from. If you ask yourself who wrote it, it is most likely some component of some atom living as a function of one of your cells in your body that contributed its consciousness to this work or book of leaves. Ironically speaking, it most definitely was one of those components of one of those atoms of one of those cells living in and among your physical form that specifically contributed to this book, even though you will find it hard to believe and further, more difficult to understand the possibility of such things happening. In an ordinary sense, this book was written by particles residing in a physical universe but not being contained or limited by it. This book was also made possible, in part, by the writer's or author's curiosity into such possibilities that something like such could ever happen. Such things can and do happen, just not to normal people or ordinary people or daily in a typical life span. But, it doesn't mean that it cannot or is not easily possible to happen for any person that cares to lend a leaning eye to the subject matter. The leaning eye being the third eye, or inner conscious eye in each of us, or in some circles, the fifth chakra point just above the brow. That being said, reduce yourself to nothing and then expect the extraordinary and expand your awareness beyond your physical limitation and then say a prayer that you still recognize yourself when you are done! That would be the general idea, and if that doesn't work, then read this book and open your mind with a sledgehammer, which would be easier, since most of us can't see past our paycheck or our weekly tithe to their church of choice. Peace be with you, Brother, may I have more of your wages? God go with you, Brother; may I have a portion of your wages in order to lead a nice, plush lifestyle of my own? May I offer some prayers to the Holy Roman Catholic Church in exchange for a little more of your wages, please? If not, read this book. It will make up for all those times you didn't tithe or forgot to bow to the local priest or pastor. Say your prayers while reading this, that you don't lose yourself entirely on the other side of consciousness, because that is where it will take you eventually, if you pay close enough attention to the words, and when they change. It is not an easy book to read and not one that should be overlooked. Particle physics is easy to talk about when you are speaking in equations, but less easy to document when particles are speaking. This book speaks of particles. This book is particles speaking. A rare engagement and a blessed result.
