Reflections of 800 country women, in letters and verse, written to the Farm Journal magazine over the past quarter century of the magazine's 100 years. These women express a special philosophy that comes from down-to-earth living.
There is a strong bond of sisterhood among farm wives who share the unique experiences of bringing up a family close to the soil. They tell us that it is so-in the letters they write and across the kitchen table when we visit them. Each letter contains some thought or experience with which we can identify. A wonderful book from a smoke-free home.
