I have the complete mystery novels of Edward Crispin in a three volume set.  I checked and the individual volumes are on wish lists.  I would like to keep the set intact and ship to one person.  Any way to do that?  Or do I just list the individual volumes and hope that the same person is first on all three wish lists.

Thanks

E

You can put in the genre forum -in the sticky at the top (I believe most of the forums have them ) it is book deals, offers and book shelf promotion.

You can't ask for more than 1 credit for a WL book or ask for WL books to be posted to you.,  You may not be able to advertise a regular WL book. But I believe you can advertise a box set in BB to find someone to send them all to keep them together.

from the help docs

If you do post the books individually and want to send them all to one member:

  • you can start a topic in the Book Bazaar Discussion Forum to advise members that you have a boxed set.
  • Another member may be glad to learn of this and request all of the books from you using the bulk request "order more books from this member" feature.

Editing orginal comment - I found this in the book bazaar but didn't mention box sets  -however I did find the link below that has a reminder of rules - which says box sets are OK!  so book bazaar (box set) or the genre forums.

(6) No trying to jump the Wish List "line" by offering or asking for postable Wish Listed books.  Postable Wish Listed books should be posted and swapped "officially".  This of course does not apply to posts advertising an alternate ISBN  (or non-ISBN version) of a Wish Listed title; it is fine to advertise that you have those posted to your bookshelf.

http://www.paperbackswap.com/forum/topic.php?t=168225

"*There can be no offering or asking for postable Wishlisted books, unless they are a boxed set you want to send as a boxed set. Wait your turn in line. If you want to try to save postage by sending multiples, check the genre forums for a WL offer thread, the Book Bazaar rules say you can't do it here.  (Obviously, you can ask for Wish List books that you are first in line for and you can offer unpostables or alternate ISBNs where your ISBN isn't WL, but another version of it is)."

Does anybody have any idea what to do about a boxed set of 4 books that has its own ISBN# and THAT # is on the wishlist.  The 4 books individually, though, have their own #'s and they are NOT wishlisted.  Somehow it doesn't seem fair that somebody should get 4 books for one credit just by wishing for a boxed set by ISBN#.  I had this happen to me awhile ago and finally sent the box off to the person for 1 credit---still doesn't seem fair, though.

I'd say you can offer BOXED sets in the Bazaar, I think that the overall site rulessaying you can trump the BB etiquette rules.

Winston, those you can advertise for up to 1 credit per book, or post them individually, but thats about it, unless you stumble across someone wishing for them all.  That's what I imagine they made the BB exception for. Unfortunately the system is not designed to know the number of books in a set and you can't post it to that ISBN and then try to get all the credits out of the person.

LOL. Your post made me go look - there are 157 people on the list for the set - they actually want all the Harry Potter books on audio CD's for the low, low price of 2 credits. If nothing else, they could be posted as individual books - for a total of 14 credits, which is still a great deal.
